The Inn is located in the Berkshires and is a three story wood frame structure with traditional New England clapboards to the colonial style exterior. There is a wrap around porch with the entrance to the Inn being located off Pinecrest Road to the southeast of the building. There is 13,448 +/- sq ft of space (gross).
The Inn was built in 1780 and still maintains its 18th century Colonial style ambiance while providing 20th-century comforts. The Inn has been providing food and lodging since 1780 and is one of the few Inns in New England that has operated continuously since then. In this setting there are 20 guest rooms and suites all have private bath, air conditioning, and are decorated with period antiques or quality reproductions.
Owners quarters are situated to the rear of the Inn and housed in a 1.5 story clapboard wood frame building. The accommodation comprises: dining kitchen, lounge, large bedroom and bathroom and private outdoor deck.
The Property is sited on approx. 2.518 acres of land, and is skirted by the charming brook which runs by the Inn near a grassy area. Parking for the Inn is located on the south side of the Inn and provides 50 spaces. Green areas, mature trees, shrubs and plantings surround the Inn. Two tennis courts are situated at the far south corner of the property, and at the rear of the Inn an outdoor swimming pool which is enclosed by a stockade fence.
There are two basements, one with access off the kitchen and the other accessed via a bulk head to the south side of the building.
